Empowering vision
Hey There,
My Name is Tyler Wenz and I own Wave Harbor Painting Company.
In 2008 I started painting for a company in Florence, Oregon. I knew absolutely nothing about painting, but I was excited to have my first job ever. I learned all the basics of painting, like how to hold the brush, how to apply paint, the caulking gun, what kind of different paints there are, how to get the tape off the roll properly, you get it. After a couple years of getting the basics under my belt I moved to Portland where I was hired on to a small company. I worked under an Italian guy named Frankie, and it was from that point on my skills started to jump to the next level. Not only did I expand my basic knowledge of how to paint and protect, but he taught me a lot about a higher quality and more efficient work, all in a new tier of homes I hadn’t been used too. After working with him for a couple years and building my skill set I moved to Salem where I started working for another smaller company. However, by no means did this small company do small work. High production, million dollar homes, and an extreme pickiness towards detail, it was a whole new world of painting. I realized quickly that I had a lot to learn, but little did I know it was a start to something so much greater.
In a crew of 4 I worked and was trained by not only the foreman Adam, but by my co workers as well, and from time to time even the owner himself. The environment there was progressive and upbeat. It was greatly encouraged to think of news ways and voice these ideas to make the job more efficient with quality as the main focus. Eventually I worked my way up to where I was Adam’s right hand man. Not only did he have every trick in the book but i’m pretty sure he had a few complete books of his own. His knowledge of paint products alone surpassed even the guys at the paint stores. Before every Job we read each product’s can to make sure the customer got the best of the product and to advance our own knowledge of paint principles. Doing it right was always the top priority. From prep work to finish coat and even clean up I learned how to complete a job in half the time, and twice if not three times the quality. I learned how to be a true professional painter.
Fast forward to 2019, after years of working along side Adam, developing a high skill level with my own style and tricks, I was ready to show the world what I could do. Now in 2026 I’m very happy to say that after the 7 years of owning my own company, I have been able to work on amazing homes, with incredible people, and put out some of the best work i’ve ever done, all while continuously learning and progressing with the times. I really aim to make sure that when i’m hired to paint a home, it’s not just a quality paint job but a quality experience. Wether it’s my home or your i paint one way. the right way. Some words that come to mind are; integrity, honesty, positivity, commitment, efficiency, mildness, mindfulness, flexibility, and trust. These words mean a great deal to me in working with whoever hires me. I can only promise you this one thing; my very best. I look forward to working with you!
Best Regards,
